63 hours in. Rails and mattress support done. Finishing ends
My wife and I are expecting our first baby in August so I am building the crib. This crib is fairly standard and follows the US requirements for crib safety. It is not made to convert into a full bed as some cribs do, its simply a crib. It will be stained the same as the computer desk i built for my brother. This project is really involved and is perhaps the most complex project I have done to date. I built my router table in preparation for building the crib.

Here I am demonstrating how the crib slats would work
Chris! I am IMPRESSED! Of course I would have no idea where to even start with something like this, keep up the good work!

What a wonderful labor of love. It is looking great.
Hey Chris,
Very impressive. What a gift to hand-down for years. This type of “blood, sweat and tears” will not quickly be forgotten by you and Regina and your children. I can’t wait to see the finished product and the sweet baby boy who will call it home sweet home!
I know it will be beautiful, Chris. Can’t wait to see final product with a baby in it!
This is going to be a piece of furntiure to be cherished. I admire your talent and the passion to build such a piece for your first son. Watch out for the splinters!
Oh my…you just won the husband of the year award! Not to mention world’s greatest Dad!! We’re praying for a safe arrival!
what a treasure that will always be. Can’t wait to see pictures of the baby in it!
Wow. I am so amazed at how God has gifted you. What a legacy you are already leaving for your son.
A precious crib for a precious and blessed baby boy! Craddled in his Father’s & his father’s love, what a beautiful picture!
Too beautiful! No bad instructions to follow, and you wont have any screws and spare parts left. Beautiful! And the baby in it will make it even more spectucular! : )
This is so great! How great it will be for Micah to sleep in a bed made by his father’s hands. There’s definitely a metaphor in there for our life with the Lord! Congratulations!
